Privacy Policy

How Tasks Sync handles the account information, task data, and configuration details needed to keep Google Tasks and Notion aligned.

1. Introduction

Tasks Sync (“the Service”) is a web-based integration that synchronizes tasks between Google Tasks and Notion. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Service. By using Tasks Sync, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

To provide the Service, we collect the following information:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile picture received through Google sign-in. We store your email address as an account identifier.
  • Google Tasks Data: Task lists, task titles, all-day due dates, completion status, and notes available through your connected Google account.
  • Notion Data: Database schema metadata (property names and types), workspace and data-source metadata shared with the integration, and task-related content from the data source you choose to sync.
  • Sync Configuration: Your selected mapping between Google Task fields and Notion database properties, along with sync frequency preferences.
  • Operational Records: Provider item identifiers, state hashes, cursors, run timestamps, statuses, counters, and error details used to operate and troubleshoot synchronization.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

  • Authenticate you via Google OAuth and authorize access to your Google Tasks and Notion data.
  • Perform two-way synchronization of tasks between your selected Google Task list and Notion database.
  • Store your sync configuration so that recurring syncs run correctly without re-authentication.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues when you contact support.
  • Improve the reliability and performance of the Service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Tasks Sync stores account identifiers, OAuth tokens, sync configurations, and operational records in Supabase. Vercel hosts the web application and API routes, while Cloudflare Workers and Queues process scheduled syncs. We use HTTPS and reasonable technical safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and authorization records while they are needed to operate the Service. Deleting a sync removes that configuration; tasks in Google and Notion remain unchanged. Disconnecting inside Tasks Sync does not revoke authorization at the provider. You can revoke access separately in your Google Account and Notion connection settings, or contact us to request deletion of remaining account and authorization records.

Tasks Sync integrates with the following third-party services:

Tasks Sync's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Withdraw consent and revoke OAuth access at any time.
  • Export task content using export tools offered directly by Google and Notion.

8. Cookies

Tasks Sync uses essential first-party cookies for Google sign-in and the Notion connection, plus local storage for draft or fallback configuration. We do not currently use advertising or product analytics cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
