Tasks Sync ("the Service") is a web-based integration that synchronizes tasks between Google Tasks and Notion. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Service. By using Tasks Sync, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

To provide the Service, we collect the following information:

• Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile picture obtained from Google OAuth when you sign in.
• Google Tasks Data: Task lists, task titles, descriptions, due dates, status, and notes from your connected Google account.
• Notion Data: Database schema metadata (property names and types) and task-related content from the Notion database you choose to sync with.
• Sync Configuration: Your selected mapping between Google Task fields and Notion database properties, along with sync frequency preferences.
• Usage Metadata: Timestamps of sync operations, error logs, and feature interactions for troubleshooting and service improvement.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Authenticate you via Google OAuth and authorize access to your Google Tasks and Notion data.
• Perform two-way synchronization of tasks between your selected Google Task list and Notion database.
• Store your sync configuration so that recurring syncs run correctly without re-authentication.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues when you contact support.
• Improve the reliability and performance of the Service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.3. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are only used to interact with the Google Tasks API and Notion API on your behalf. Sync configurations are retained until you delete them or revoke access.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you disconnect Google Tasks or Notion, or delete your configuration, the associated data is removed from our systems within 30 days. OAuth tokens are revoked immediately upon disconnection.

6. Third-Party Services

Tasks Sync integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google (Google Tasks API): Used to read and write your Google Tasks data. Your use of Google services is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Notion (Notion API): Used to read and write data in your selected Notion database. Your use of Notion is governed by Notion's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: Used for database hosting and authentication. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel: Used for application hosting. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent and revoke OAuth access at any time.
• Export your data by disconnecting and downloading from Google Tasks and Notion directly.

8. Cookies

Tasks Sync uses essential session cookies and local storage to maintain your authentication state and sync configuration. No tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party cookies are used.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
